DICK HUNT

So here it is... the crippled applet version of Dick Hunt. But even though it's crippled, it's pretty much fully functional.

Again, the objective is fairly simple - go on a series of quests looking for my cheating partner Betty and her lover, Dick. Along the way you blow up things, fight things, find things, trade things, and lose things. You also can use things and drop things, but only once you get back to the Blog.

The game represents the player, referred to as the "avatar," in two different ways: FIRST as an "astral body" that you interact with via the command keys in order to move, blow stuff up, collect stuff, etc; and SECOND as a "physical body" which looks like a pulsating glow and is used to represent YOUR bad-ass self.

You complete a quest when you get both bodies to a destination waypoint. Some quests also have special objects you need to find before you can fully complete them. You'll know when you find 'em.

So why's the applet "crippled" you ask? Here's why. It's missing true location-awareness as well as voice-based questing.

The phone version uses real GPS coordinates to determine your location, and requires you to MOVE YOUR ACTUAL BODY in PHYSICAL SPACE in order to move the pulsating glowing thing that represents you in-game. That means you have to actually GET YOURSELF to the destination point of a quest in PHYSICAL SPACE to complete it.

When you hit "hotspots" along the way you may get phone calls forcing you to interact with my bot. [NOTE: The applet fakes GPS, allowing you to control both bodies via the keys while dropping the voice-driven stuff entirely. Your loss since my bot's pretty cool. Stupid maybe, and a bit hard of hearing... but cool.] You can also steal items from other players if you enter hotspots they occupy. You just have to watch out, 'cuz they can steal from you too!

Oh yeah, you may need to click once directly on the applet to give it context. And REMEMBER this is PHONE SIM so NO MOUSE clicking!
